Message In stock form both these cars are mid-13 second cars. This with the Supra at 11psi and bigger injectors, turbo's as well. So that gives them more room to run with once you start dropping the stock form. So when you see these Supra laying down more power at fewer mods, now you know why. Plus if money is an issue. Go with price vs power and your back to being dead even with both again. Where the Supra value is still really high ( Thanks to F&F ) and the car being more rare ( Z way higher in sells ). So your given that 10k avg. lee way to make more power. But when it comes right down to it. Labor is where we start to fall behind. Turbo placement is the biggest factor. Where Supra, reach down grab it, wise ours when done right. Pull the motor and everything is higher in price due to needing two of everything, where they as you know have that option of Single. Look at that option as well. For a Greddy T/88 ( more then enough turbo ), that kit is around 4k ( little less ) for monster power. Where for us, only TD06/20g's or HKS 2835's are going to produce that kinda power at near twice the cost and a 1/4 of that more for labor install .

Motor wise this is where we fall way short. By that I mean ( to me ) that our VG motors has not been fully tested. I believe because of the hassle of turbo upgrades and all that needs to go into the car, people just don't want to take the time and run a stock short blocks and try to get the numbers that the Supra JZ motor's are getting. So tested we are not and them, well, just incredible. Highest I think anyone has seen on the VG motor was from forum memeber ( Z from Japan ) and his friend from Japan posting a 700+rwhp on TD06/20g's and a lot of other bolt ons on a short block I believe it was. But one alone is not a deciding factor and it's not state side so less to go by. Where just this year only names of TD06 and now 2835's are starting to become a house hold names, can we really start to see what we have. I think with common knowledge here and knowing flow and what internals are made of, that the VG motor can run in the upper 700+rwhp club. To get the numbers that the Supra has put down of 800+. Well, that in itself is asking a God awful lot of stock components.

But when your talking what a tranny can handle, realize that it's not brand knew anymore so what ever you get will either be rebuilt or OEM factory still. The Auto will get you in the 11's with all the bolt on's added, but start looking for higher stall converters to handle any real launches after a while of this kinda abuse.

Other than fast track times, look at that cars for all around action. Ones gives you traction control stock ( Supra ) and the other with four wheels steering( HICAS )and cockpit 2-way adjustable suspension system.

So just know that from the start, your going to pay a lot more for the Toyota, then the Nissan, which will only bring you up to speed on the like I said Supra's stock bigger fuel system and turbo's when advancing the Z's power. It's only when you start talking big power where they can just do it so much easier than ours, where big money and big labor.............

STAGE V++++
Going to XIII and beyond :)
